GothDB at gothdb.com runs this site. Contact is [email protected].
An account stores a public username, an email address that is not shown on the profile, and a password hash. A Google or Discord account can have no password.
Choosing Google sends GothDB that Google account's id and verified email address. They are stored and used to create the GothDB account or to sign into the existing account with that email. GothDB does not receive the Google password and does not keep a Google access token. The data is not used for advertising and is not sold.
Choosing Discord sends GothDB that Discord account's id and verified email address, used and stored the same way. Discord also sends a username and an avatar. GothDB does not store those.
A login cookie keeps the session for 30 days, including while Google or Discord sign-in is in progress. The server stores that the visitor is logged in, the username, and the user id.
To ask for the account to be deleted, write to [email protected]. There is no delete button on the site.
Registration, login, and password-reset attempts store an IP address together with the username or email, to limit repeated attempts. A logged-in visit stores the user id and the UTC day, for site statistics.
Submissions, ratings, lists, and marks stay attached to the public username.
Verification and password-reset mail is sent with Resend from [email protected] to the account email. Registration and password reset in production also use Cloudflare Turnstile.
